Breakfast

I have always read that it is important to eat breakfast when you get up in the am. However I like to work out first and exercising on a full stomach does not work. Any thoughts on exercising first then eating breakfast? Does it make a difference in weight loss?

I agree. Or, you can try a meal replacement shake in the morning. It will get your body all you need as far as nutrients go and still be low cal.

I always work out before eating breakfast. I can't exercise on a full stomach.
I do drink water before, during, and after working out.
Then I eat breakfast right after workout.

I've been working out before breakfast for a number of years now. If I feel like I'll need food in me before starting (like before a long run or intense spinning class) I eat half a grapefruit or half a slice of dry toast. Just eat something really small to give you a touch of energy if you feel you need it then eat your breakfast as soon as possible after working out.

It's worked for me for a while now, though I know everyone is different

How about a glass of smoothie before the gym and then a bowl of cereal or an egg after?

I used to wait until after my workout to eat, but after getting really dizzy one morning during my workout, I began eating just a little something like half a banana, or a special k snack bar 15 minutes prior to working out.

It doesn't matter. A whole host of people don't eat breakfast until the early afternoon, then eat all their calories in about a 6-8 hour window.

I usually just have a small glass of water and half a banana before exercising in the morning. Enough to get my body started, but definitely doesn't weigh me down. Then I have a bowl of cereal or something when I get back before starting on my day.
