But this SUCKS. I had finally. FINALLY!!!! Gotten down in weight after weeks and weeks. And now after my weekend in Philadelphia I went from 151 to 154.4. My measurements are exactly the same (get out those measuring tapes, people!), but for some reason it's defeating seeing that number. How long after a high calorie weekend, will that extra weight drop off? I was hoping MAYBE it would shock the body, especially since I didn't workout for the first time in like three weeks, and make me lose weight. But instead I'm right back up to where I was. Even high. :explode:

sounds like my weekend (even the weight which is scary). For me it normally takes 3-5 days for the water to come off. I've already started to come back down a bit :)

Right there with ya sista!! I think I either put on muscle since my measurements have gone down or I have some SUPER stubborn water weight. I weighed in at 225 again and at one point just over a week ago I was on track to hit 219 for the first time in a REALLY long time. With the look of them biceps though you may be putting muscle mass on. So dont bring yourself down to much over it.

If it is water weight mine would ussually take a week total of eating right again to get rid of it all.

Well, since you know its water weight, why stress.

Its not physically possible to put on 4 real pounds in a weekend. Just drink tons of water, to flush out all that extra salt. Continue watching what you eat and working out, and you should be back to your original weight in a week.

Try not to stress, I know easier said than done, but once you get back on track you will be fine

    Goodluck

Same thing happened to me. Last weekend I ate prolly 2,200 cals/ on Fri-Sun but back in my normal 1400-1700 range the rest of the weeks, PLUS had my 300-450 cal burns each day via cardio/weights. I was down to 155.4 and then weighed in at 158 this past Saturday. I am super bummed, and I drank all my water. AND my measurements also stayed the same.
I know it's 3 lbs, but still that number means alot to me. I feel for ya, lady!

I'm having the same thing with me this morning and it is hard not to feel discouraged. Last week was lagged out because of waiting around for my TOM and now.....I'm still waiting and it's put another two pounds on me. It is really frustrating. I want to keep going and progress and it feels like my body is holding me back. I give myself a list of reasons not to let it get to me, but that list isn't working this morning. I'm feeling frustrated and like this nonsense is wasting my progress time.

As long as you are eating correctly and taking care of yourself you are not going to put on permanent weight. I know it is frustrating I have the same issue right now, but keep your head clear and realize that in a week you get to see the scale drop right back down. It happens to all of us and it takes a clear head and determination to not let it get you down. I have already put on 7 pounds in 3 days.. Yea not possible but the scale said so, and in a week it was all gone plus an extra pound. Dont let it ruin your day! =0)

I hear you guys. I probably ate THOUSANDS of calories. I can't lie...nor should I *****. I drank a lot of water...we walked all day long around the city....a few meals my husband and i shared...but I did have a philly cheesesteak, and had TWO large sundaes. One I split with my husband...but it was a lot of calories. Easily enough for at least one solid pound of fat, I'm sure. I guess I'm just annoyed that after weeks and weeks of no movement I finally was showing progress and I'm right back to square one. I'm hoping this time next week it will be back down and I won't be stuck here forever and ever again.

Oh my goodness!! My two days to Atlanta took its toll on my scale view too. I'm finally back down to where I was before I left (I left last Wednesday morning and got back late Thursday night). I knew I was bad, but I had no idea I'd been THAT bad. My daughter and I walked several blocks to our concert, stood and danced the entire four hours (or so) concert, etc... I thought I had a few extra calories. I must have WAY overdone the salt....

I promise it'll come back off. :) Mine did [finally]!!

Thanks Kim. It's my experiment of eating more, and it seemed to be working....so here's hoping that it works again! Love your belly picture. Awww!

If your measurements are the same, try not to be so down on yourself. I KNOW from experience that is easier said than done. But, that weight could be anything. The scale can sometimes really sabotage us. You look great, confident, and strong. I have finally come to the realization that above thin, skinny, attractive, I want to be strong! You exude strength in your pics. I know I haven't met you in person, but you really inspire me with your muscles, chica!! Keep going, keep getting stronger and you will get where you want to be. you're doing great.

Drink TONS of water....and when I say tons, I mean, to the point that the thought of water drives you nuts. You have accumulated salt in your body and the water is drawn to it. Drink your sorrows away...with water! :)

I feel ya! I have put on 7 pounds in a couple of days and I know that I didn't eat that many calories. I may not work out daily but I was under my goal every day last week. I also don't have a vacation to blame. I haven't been taking my measurements so I have nothing to go on but my weight. :ohwell: I am hoping that drinking lots of water will flush whatever is in my system out. lol Good luck!

This weekend was horrible for me to! I was taking the previous week off working out because my body needed a break, but I got lazy and let my eating go.

Pizza, hot dogs and fries, wine, margaritas, cheeseburgers ugh! Granted my boyfriend and I walked around the zoo and a couple flea markets on Saturday and spent all of Sunday on the lake but I felt like crap when I woke up Monday and felt like I had just packed on 5 pounds and erased all the hard work I've done over the last few months...

But I woke up early, and hit the gym hard the last 2 days like I had never taken those steps back and have been chugging water and eating healthy...

Just look forward and reset your goals and don't look back at what you did...that's what I'm doing...
