Whats the most weight you lost within a month and how did you do it. Im asking because when I first started my journey I would eat better and excerise, mainly always making sure I ate breakfast because i would sometimes eat once a day maybe twice. I havent been working out as often maybe go for a run once or twice a week. But im realizing that weight just been falling off of me but just slightly changing my diet.

My weight loss has been pretty steady throughout (generally 8 pounds per month) but I did have one month in which I lost 10 pounds. I was trying to housebreak a puppy and walked a lot more than I thought I had, which increased my exercise considerably. Since I hadn't thought it was going to be significant, I didn't track it.0

The most that I've ever lost was 15lbs in a month. I would exercise at least 5 times a week and cut back on my carbohydrates.0

I started MFP at the very end of February and lost 18# in March. I followed my calorie goals, ate back my exercise calories, ate more protein and fiber and fewer carbs and less fat than MFP defaults to, cooked most of our meals from real foods (no boxes or convenience foods), and tried to move daily, even if just a walk at lunch at work, although most days I either did intervals on my stationary bike or strength training. It's slowed since then, 9# in April, 7# in May, and it looks like 6# or so in June, but I've also changed to "lose 0.5# per week" from "lose 1# per week" in my goals because I felt cold all the time at 1#. I find that if I'm significantly under calories, I WILL binge sometime within the next few days, so I try to stay right on track with calories, and log my over days when they happen. Since I'm continuing to reduce, I don't beat myself up, but just start again the next day. I've been overweight my whole life - I was a fat kid in the 70's and 80's when most kids weren't fat - so if it takes a year or 18 months to get there, that's just that much more time for me to adjust to my "new" lifestyle of health eating and daily movement.0

I think for me, its been like 5-8lbs a month, which is pretty healthy. But i barely been working out and it seems like the weight is just coming off nicely. Dieting def is the most important part of this whole journey.0

While it's true that diet is the major proportion of weight loss, there are many benefits to your overall health from exercise and also in preservation of muscle mass while reducing calories. So do try to get a few exercise sessions in every week. You don't have to go crazy with it, but try to exercise.0
