Groin/Adductor issue

Help!

I felt pain in my inner thigh after a 5mile run two weeks ago. Wasn't so sore whilst running so I did another 2 shorter runs that week. After that I thought best to rest and have been walking 5k every day instead with some cycling.

The pain isn't so bad but it's still not shifting. I have been foam rollering my adductor and stretching before and after walking. It's worst in the morning and after being inactive.

Can I start running again? I am getting anxious as I have a big event coming up in just under 6weeks.

If you're still having the pain after 2 weeks you're body is probably telling you to give it a rest. You should see a doctor if it continues I know you have an event but it's not worth injuring yourself over!

yes good advice, thanks, i guess i should get it checked - did a walk and some strength training last night - a little cycling today.. definitely seems a bit better - will give it couple more days then see a dr/pt..
