I'm getting ready to start a no meat diet the next 30 days to try to drop my BMI down. I'm trying to drop it by at least 5%. I don't know exactly what it is but I can guess around 13%.

I really just want my abs to show. Any tips on the diet or dropping my body mass?

Cutting out meat doesn't guarantee weight loss..... When I was a vegetarian for 5 years, I actually put weight on because I wasn't weighing my food and counting calories. That was 85lbs ago.

    Cutting calories = fat loss.

What proteins will you be replacing the meat with? Muscle loves protein...

My tip is to lift very heavy and eat a sensible diet that includes all foods at a calorie deficit. Basically, go on a cut.

This. Pescatarian here (fish once a month or so). I gained 100 pounds without eating meat.

That's cool. I've been tracking my calories here. What do you guys think would be a good calorie set per day?

Do you mean body fat % rather than BMI ? BMI is not a percent sort of measure.

Any ways good luck. A calories deficit will, as always be required. And I suggest you look up 'vegetarian' that sort of means no meat.

You should work out your calories per day for you specifically, I recently went on ripped body.jp and theres a good pdf there that gives all the information you need to work it out. Don't cut too much as you will not have enough energy to carry it on with your lifestyle. Do the math and get a specific one for you. All depends on your activity level per day, everyone is different. Mine is 2041 cals per day to cut 1lb fat per week. But then i work at a desk job. if i was was a laborour it would be a lot higher to cut per day maybe like 2750, u have to work it out to be honest mate.
