I want to workout late in the day but want to log how many calories I burned the next day. Will my calculations be wrong if I log calories burned the day after I workout. I find that working out late in the day fits my routine.

Why not just hit the back button on the day, and log it on the day you did it?0

It will be o.k. You can look at an average for the week.
If it is important to you, change your time zone so the MFP's times match the times that you want.0 -
Are you concerned because you use calories burned to figure out your calorie intake for the day? Personally, I don't ever track my calories from working out. I simply hit a set calorie goal for the day (with appropriate macros of course) and adjust it every ~3-4 weeks if I am not making progress in fat loss. The main goal is reducing fat, so that's what you should look at when setting calorie intake. Plus, ignoring the calories burned from exercise makes it so you're hitting the same calorie target every day. That is helpful for building consistency.0

Calorie counts are very generous on MFP.0
