All right... so this is kind of dumb... but I have soymilk that I opened maybe 2 weeks ago... It might be more or less. I don't remember when I opened it. So my question is, it says use within 7-10 days after opening. How much longer than that will it stay good? I'm kind of scared to drink it... haha. It smells okay though.

It's probably okay....it has a longer shelf life than regular milk.

I totally understand! I've used soy and rice milk well after the use by date, and haven't had a problem yet!

Soymilk has really long exp. dates. I have bought Silk and had the exp. date be like a month out. Check the date, if it is good, you are good.
It seems to last longer than regular milk for some reason.

Okay. I'm drinking it now and it tastes fine. I mean... It's in my protein shake... so if it did taste a little funky I wouldn't even know! haha. Thanks.

Most things last quite a bit longer than date on pkg. You can usually tell when it is time to toss, smell, mold, taste, texture etc.

Bad soy milk looks and smells REALLY bad.

As long as it looks and smells fine and has been refrigerated the whole time since it was opened you should be fine.

Those warnings are kind of "lowest common denominator" the very earliest point at which something might start to go bad. You usually have quite a bit longer than the suggested date.

If it smells okay, then it is okay. Trust me, when soy milk goes bad you'll know it. You'll likely know it the second you open your fridge. :noway:
