Last chance

I am the heaviest I've ever been. A whopping 328.8 lbs. I am also the most depressed I've ever been and can barely stand to look at myself in a mirror and will generally avoid my own eye contact. I HATE what I see and I try to block out everything about myself in the mirror so that I do not continue to spiral down in my depression. I need to do something NOW! I am at a point in my life that if I do not do anything to prevent my weight from getting worse, I will never have another chance. I am bordering on health issues that will only get worse as I age, and my metabolism will no longer work in my favor. I love food and what happiness it can bring me, but I know that this happiness is temporary. I need to build new habits, and a new outlook on life. God help me, but I can't keep going like I have been. Please, let me be able to finally be able to take off the weight and keep it off.

I'm sorry for your situation.
It's great that you are taking a hard look at yourself. That can be so difficult to do for so many of us.
I would change the title of your thread. This is not your last chance! Don't put that kind of pressure on yourself.
I've never been really heavy so I can't directly relate, but my understanding from people who have lost a lot of weight is it's easiest to lose in the beginning, just by making small changes. If you can do this and start to see the benefits, it will help keep you on the path.
It's great to focus on your physical changes, but I would encourage you to not ignore the emotional component. MyFitnessPal is full of awesome supportive people, but most of us aren't qualified to handle true clinical depression. I encourage you to seek professional support for this issue. You have to learn to love yourself as you are before you can successfully seek change.
Good luck on your journey!0 -
Hi, Listen many people struggle with weight some more than others. But stop beating yourself up about it. You're here taking action; keep it up. You are Worth the change and love of yourself. And when you look at yourself in the mirror tell yourself; I love myself; I am a working progress and I am determined to feel whole and take back my life. Write yourself a Mantra and teach yourself meditation.
I would also recommend seeking therapy, you're struggle has taken a toll on you and you may be suffering some depression. Therapy is a windows to getting to the bottom of your anxiety.
Here you will find many feeling as you do; use this community to help you cope and motive you. Weigh yourself only once a week and as soon as you get out of bed; that's your true weight.
