It's not about the exercise, it's about the diet. Do whatever you want for exercise (bearing in mind that building muscle will equal more calories burned), but if you're trying to lose bf, your calories in must be lower than calories out.

There is no set weight training program that is for fat burning. Weight training is for building/retaining muscle and increasing strength. If you want to "burn fat" you need to look at your diet first.

absolutely. without a doubt diet is big key. So you are saying there is no rule to go by to burn fat with weights?

    Correct.

All physical activity burns calories. All you need to lose fat is a calorie deficit. That means eating less, moving more, or a combination of the two.

Follow a progressive and structured program.

Just find a beginner program and stick to it. Starting Strength and Stronglifts will be the most frequently recommended. Research them, pick one, and stick to it. Exactly. No modifications, no questions other than form. Just do the program as written. Please.

    * Except if you have a prior injury or other case in which consult a doctor. haha

But no really I loved stronglifts as a starting program. Everyone else gave you good advice.
