Losing weight is about calories. Type of food is personal preference.
Healthy food has nutrients. Your body needs nutrients like protein, fats, vitamins, minerals. Some foods have more calories but not many nutrients- candy for example. Bread, milk, cheese, peanut butter, candy or jelly can be part of a healthy diet. Eating just one food in excess is less healthy even if the food is broccoli.
If you are logging food you can see if your goals are being met. I recommend focusing on meeting your calorie goal, getting enough protein, not eating a super low fat or super low carb diet. Eat several servings of vegetables and fruits a day. Try to eat more whole grains. Eat a variety of foods that you enjoy. Eat low nutrition items in smaller portions.

Junk food is really not a helpful definition. When I am on mile 22 of a marathon, a jelly bean can be essential nutrition. Chocolate in moderation confers health benefits.
It is actually much easier to label a total diet as healthy or not than any one food.1
