Hi guys,

Starting to slow down now with the humidity and heat creeping up and I know from living here all my life that this is just the beginning.

How do you handle Southern Louisiana summers?

My main form of exercise is walking (usually about 4.5 miles per day) and eventually walk/run/walk or bicycle (about an hour - haven't recorded mileage yet).

Getting outside is my form of therapy but the humidity and heat stop me in my tracks.

What's your tips?

I feel your pain! My only solution was to get a gym membership, which I got pretty much the second we moved to this eternally hot and sweaty place, but I also take walks with the little one pretty much daily. In the past week or so I've had to wait until as late as possible to go because of the heat/humidity. I haven't lived here my whole life, and I've really struggled getting used to the humidity especially. Some days there will be a break, but when there's not I just have to wait until 7 or so to go outside.....
