Journey vs Destination

How do I keep going with my journey in my weight loss program vs wanting the end result with the destination in mind.How do I keep myself motivated.
Been doing logging food & beverages/water from January 1st 2016 - May 13 2016,how can I keep going in order to reach my goal weight which is 70kg - 65kg. It's such a slow journey :( but am determined to reach my destination however long it takes :)

    There is no end result. You'll just transition from the weight loss phase to the maintenance phase. You'll get there when you get there and then you'll keep going. There's no hurry.

    There is no destination. Once you hit your goal weight you then need to transition into maintenance (which can takes months), and then you have 20, 30, 40+ Years of maintenance ahead of you. And that's where most people fail. Enjoy the weight loss phase-that's the easy part :p

    Yep. This isn't a thing you do get it over with and are done with. This is for life. Stop viewing it in terms of getting to a destination. Think of it in terms of making permanent life changes. Take time to notice all of the small positive effects on your life, sense of well being and health.

    I'm really looking forward to getting to my destination, mainly because I've lost weight loads of times but never hit goal and this time I know I can finish what I've started!

    But I'm also learning so much along the way, about how my weight fluctuates and what causes it, how to fit in the foods that feel like a treat without blowing my deficit, that getting to goal isn't the only focus. After all, if I got to goal and learned nothing, I'd regain all the weight so it would have all been pointless!

    You don't have to keep going until you get there. You have to live today. Eat to your calorie goal today. Weigh your food today. Log it accurately today. And sleep well.

    Every time I see a fitness model's body I was like how do they get there body to that phase. I was thinking they were blessed with great genetics and not me LOL

    When it comes to height and bone structure ... that's genetics.

    When it comes to weight ... they simply don't eat much.

    I just take one day at a time. I'm better off than I was with every pound I lose and keep off.
    I know I have to do this for life so slow is fine if it equals sustainibility. My goal is less a number on the scale but improving my health, fitness and quality of life.

    I know how you feel - I get that there is no real "destination" because once you lose the weight, you have to maintain to keep it off - but I always feel it is good to have goals.

    When the journey feels too far, find one closer. Instead of focusing on losing all 70kg; make a shorter goal, say 5kg? It gives you something to work for and you can feel it as a victory when you get there. Reward yourself (not with food) maybe with a massage or pedicure or something that makes you feel good (again not food) then set the next goal. I find I get a lot further if I set up "milestones" to hit along the way and rewarding myself with something that makes me feel good but isn't food has a way of building up my enthusiasm and confidence to keep going. It also gives me something short term to focus on and helps lessen the burden of the long run.

    I hope this helps. The journey may be long, but keep taking it one step at a time and you WILL get there eventually. Good luck!

    I'd say start setting other goals, such as fitness goals to distract you from time, and also give you something more to push for. When it comes to fitness there is always more you can do. If you keep tracking and eating under maintenance you will get to the weight you want inevitably, and then you will have to focus on maintaining. The trip is never over ;)

    Ask one of them: a) how long it took to get that body, (b) how much effort/discipline was involved, and (c) if there are any shortcuts.

    (Hint: (a) A long time, (b) a lot of it, and (c) no, there aren't.)

    Too many people waste too much time, effort and money looking for shortcuts and screwing around with different things trying to speed up the process. Bouncing from diet to diet, workout program to workout program, taking junk/woo supplements, etc. If they had just buckled down and put all that time and effort into what matters (calorie deficit and a reasonable workout program), they would have reached their goal faster, with much less stress and a lot more money in their wallets. As the old saying goes, "the hurrieder I go, the behinder I get".
