Is 1.3 kg a week normal?

I've not tried to lose weight before so I don't know if 1.3 kg a week is a normal weight loss or if it's a blip with scales/time of measuring. I've been sticking to less than 1400 kcal a day but for only a week. Would this make sense?

For your first week that's normal since you'll be losing some water weight. Expect it to slow down a little bit in the coming weeks.

I cant tell if 1400 is too much or too little since you didnt provide enough info (height, weight, age, gender) but you can look online for a TDEE calculator and that will tell you how much you burn. Eating 500 calories below your TDEE will usually allow you to lose 1 pound a week (450 grams

Most people who start a restricted calorie diet will have an initial large loss due to water weight but then the pace of loss slows.

If you have a lot to lose, you may be able to create enough of a deficit to lose 1 kg per week. If you don't have much to lose, you may lose 0.25-0.5 kg per week.

Weight loss isn't linear so those would be average losses, not each and every week.

I'm 5ft 3. 50.4 kg, female and under 30. I don't have a lot to loose - probably about a kilo to get down to where I'm comfortable.
