Does anyone log their weight only if it is a loss or do most people log their weight regardless if it is a gain or loss?

I track both my loss and my gains.0

I do both. It is so that I can see a trend of my losses and gains. That makes it easy to see where your strengths and weaknesses/fluctuations are (ie times of month, holidays, emotional issues, etc).0

I weigh myself on Fridays and log whatever it says. Week before last I gained 1.5 lbs. I figured it was probably because of TOM but I logged it anyway.0

I refuse to put down a gain .lol but if it is a big amount i guess I would. I did gain .5 lbs this week (shh) but i dont know what that is about... i could easily be 2 lbs lighter tomorrow. If i keep going up i might have to. I am gaining muscle.0

I use The Hacker's Diet Online to "trend" my weight. (Actually I use an Android app called "Libra" but it is based on the principals of the Hacker's Diet.) It allows me to see progress that overcomes the emotional roller-coaster of the day-to-day measurement of body mass. I only record my trend weight here on MFP.
If you've never heard of the Hackers Diet. It was written by a software engineer. Read the chapter entitled "The Rubber Bag" -- very enlightening.

I log it every Friday morning regardless of gain or loss. It will be a gain this week.0

I don't have a set day to "weigh in" ... I weigh myself a few times a week, probably, but only log it when there is a significant loss. I don't log anything less than a pound as a loss because it can fluctuate so much. Sometimes, I'll even wait until I see the loss over a span of a few days before I log it to make sure that I really lost that pound. I don't log gains... I know that I gain during TOM so I don't really weigh myself then, but if I do, I would never log it, as I really haven't gained 10 lbs! I've never actually gained back enough for it to matter to me, so I haven't logged any gains.0
