Thought it was time I said "Hi"

I've been using MyFitnessPal for the last year or so after stepping on the scales one morning and seeing I'd hit 19st 6lb. Before then the most I'd ever weighed was 18st, and at that point I joined WW and shed 3st. However, like with all diets I've ever attempted, it all piled back on.
In the last year or so I've lost just over 4st using MyFitnessPal and genuinely haven't felt this great about myself in a long, long time. This has now felt like more of a lifestyle change than a diet. I mean, yesterday I genuinely turned down a Chinese takeaway in favour of a homemade meal. If you knew how much I loved Chinese takeaway, you'd know how big a change that is for me.
I'm looking to get involved in the community a lot more, so if you fancy making a new friend in me, feel free to add me/get in touch. I'm a huge believer in support helping you get through those good and bad days. We all have them, so let's deal with them together!
But yeah, I just wanted to stop by and finally say hi to everyone!

That's awesome on your results and changes. :] I wish I could say the same. I've been at this for awhile now and unfortunately I haven't been having much luck with this. I'm still the same weight I was a year ago. haha0

But are you at least feeling better in yourself? This is all about mental wellbeing as much as physical. It's all about making small changes on a regular basis, and setting goals you know you can keep to. I used to have unrealistic expectations for myself and give up a few weeks in because I couldn't achieve them.0

Amazing loss, I'm glad you're feeling proud of yourself. I lost about 5 and a half stone with MFP about 5 years ago but sadly gained half back - working hard again to try and get back to where I was but in a much healthier way than last time. Definitely up for a new pal thats as dedicated as you are!0

I'm actually going in a circle with this and it's hard to break, which is probably why I'm not getting anywhere with my weight loss like everyone else on here. I do it, and then while I'm doing it and I get stressed and/or depressed along the way I stuff my face more and then I'm back to where I started again. Then I try to deal with it all at once and that just makes me want to eat too. I'm constantly hungry, and there are times where I'm sitting there struggling with counting calories with my low blood sugars trying to decide if they're worth logging or not, so I find the logging overwhelming even though I try to stay focused on it. I don't even use my food scale as much as I used to because I know I'm just going to go back for more anyways. Once I realized I reached my daily calorie limit and the day isn't even over yet I still eat because I'm hungry. I never really understood logging if you're just gonna go over your calories anyway? But there are times where it's helped me learn how one little thing can have so many calories (like cheese). I guess this is why my Fitbit is gonna be really important to me, to help keep me motivated and hopefully a little bit active.0
