Excercising

Hey everyone!
I just started using the app for my nutrition class and finally got my Fitbit to sync up with it.
My question for everyone is when I go for a hike or run do I use my Fitbit app to track my exercise? Or do I just log it on the MyFitnessPal app? If I track it with my Fitbit (I like seeing the map after I'm done) will it mess things up?
Thanks for any advice!

Depends. FitBits are pretty good at tracking step based activities. If you are going for a swim, then definitely look for a calorie burn estimate elsewhere ( a second opinion if you will). Be warned MFP has some pretty generous estimates.
Here's the FitBit group for more specific info: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/1290-fitbit-users0 -
I have a fitbit but it was never able to sync with info so I just use mfp for all my hiking running, etc0
