Jawbone Up Move. Steps vs cardio workout for calories

Ok so I wear my Up Move constantly during the day so when I do any cardio workout it counts that as steps. It inputs my steps in the myfitnesspal app and calculates the 'negative calorie adjustments' (still not sure what that really is). Since when I do cardio I am doing a lot more than just walking do I ALSO input it? Like say my negative calorie adjustment from my Up Move is -400 but when I was wearing it I did a cardio workout that burns 200 calories.

Also if I turn off negative adjustments why won't it show the calories I've burn from my Up Move? When I go to 'Cardio Exercise' in Diary it shows the steps for Up Move but shows 0 for calories. When I select it and then select "Extra Calories Earned" (which says 0) it says how they calculate it. It says 2.134 calories were burned including 153 from cardio.
If I keep negative adjustments on then it I have far less calories remaining even though I know I've been fairly active. I walk roughly 5000 steps a day so I'm not sedentary.

I did some quick cardio this morning while getting ready. Went to a few appointments then did some grocery shopping. Then went for a 40 minute walk after. I've walked over 7000 steps yet Up Move has added a bunch of calories ONTO MFP because of negative adjustments! They aren't counting as calories I've BURNED. It is adding onto the calories from my food intake. Should it be taking calories AWAY and INCREASING my remaining calories instead of DECREASING them?! Any time I just input my exercises (with negative adjustments disabled) it INCREASES my remaining calories. I even set Up Move to ONLY track my steps and not set a goal for my weight to see if that would work because even when I set the same goals the allowed amount of calories for MFP and Up Move are quite different.
I literally feel like I'm starving myself. Like how much do I have to exercise and walk with my Up Move to make MFP show BURNED CALORIES? According to MFP I have 983 calories to go (All I've ate today was a small breakfast. Oh and an apple.. Like really. I have my goal set to 1520. I don't have it set that low because I'm within the normal rage for my weight. I used to be underweight but when I went on these meds I gain 25 pounds. I just want to lose about 5-10 pounds. 10 pounds would make my BMI underweight but I also have muscular dystrophy so it's ok for my BMI to be a tad low since my muscle mass is lower) but according to my Up Move app I have 1113 calories to go...
