I'm going to the movies tonight and usually end up wanting a snack xD Except right now I'm not really craving anything, but know I will later =/ I was thinking either a cookie from Timmies or Subway, or Swedish Berries. I don't like popcorn, and not looking for anything fruit or veggies.

Anyone have any suggestions? x)

Swedish berries is probably a good bet. I read an article in a men's magazine about three months ago that did a detailed analysis of most movie theater fair and concluded the honest-to-God healthiest option was gummi bears! I'm personally a Junior Mint's kinda guy and a small box of these isn't the worst thing in the world either.

    Air? :P

In all seriousness, you probably won't find anything at the theater under 278 calories, so pack something with you from home that you would normally eat as a snack, and just bring it in with you.

Proper preparation is the key to success!

I went to the local drugstore and picked up some candy, then I put a serving size in a zip loc bag. I got something I wasnt too fond of but took a while to eat like Good N plenty. What about gobstoppes, jelly beans, swedish fish?

Nachos with salsa only??? We have that option at my theatre - now I wouldnt eat the whole portion they give you - maybe half (thats all I can ever seem to get through anyway - they give you a lot). Its probably high in sodium but the salsa is low in calories for sure- and as long as you dont over do it with the tortilla chips you are good

Good N plenty ? Haven't heard of it D: lol. I will go to the grocery store and find something, theatre food is WAY over priced here.

the theater I usually go to has skinny cows and fruit salads. I usually snag one of those. If you cant pack ahead, maybe try for something dark chocolate. Its less calories and fat than milk. I dont know off hand but dark chocolate raisinettes?

Mmm dark chocolate, now that's a good idea :D
  • Do you like twizzlers? Hershey's makes Sugar Free Twizzlers and I swear they taste pretty darn close to the regular. You can have 6 for 120 calories. So you could have over 12! Woot!

I always bring pretzels and greek yogurt. It's the only time I splurge on greek yogurt so it feels like a treat. The pretzels satisfy my craving for popcorn.

One of our theaters has a rest in it. I like the idea of eating there then going in. small popcorn though for me...
