I went 98 points over my 1200 a day calorie goal, but 135 of those calories are clean protein.

Don't worry about being over 98 cals, it happens.
Where it becomes a problem is if your not accurately weighing all your foods and measuring liquids. Then people don't understand why they aren't losing and its usually because of inaccurate logging ( guessing and estimating portions)
And what is clean protein? And why do you think it matters when it comes down to weight loss ? ( it doesn't )1 -
When I say clean protein, I mean protein without a lot of sauce or gravies, things that add empty calories. I love steak, but I don't use A1 as much anymore because of the calories. I find if I make an excuse for one little extra, I start to find excuses for other extras, so I quit all extras for now. I only use seasoning, like chili powder, basil, etc, depending on what I'm eating.0
