I lost my mother 5 years ago and gained 30 lbs in the months that followed. The only thing I know that works, is to find something besides eating, like walking, reading, swimming, yoga, knitting, etc. that keeps you busy and does not involve food. You will need to remove food from the equation. Comfort food is called that for a reason, but really what food is supposed to be is nutrition for the body. So all I can recommend is to find something else besides eating to get you through the grief of losing your grandmother. Best of luck and you can add me as a friend if you like.1

Feel free to add me as well! I've noticed that as I finish up my 50's (I'm 59), that the good ol' weight is harder to remove! Accountability is a good thing!0
