I sort of understand water weight, but have questions.
Why do we have it? How do we get rid of it? What exactly is it? How do we keep it off? How do we obtain it? Any info you have would be much appreciated.

You can retain water due to sodium excess, muscle repair after exercise, or, for women, due to the menstrual cycle.
To help reduce water retention, drink water. I know that sounds counterintuitive, but it's the truth.
To not retain water, be menopausal, don't exercise, and eliminate all salty foods from your diet.
Or, you can realize that water weight gain is only temporary, will disappear in a few days, and is nothing to stress over.3 -
