Potatoes, Pasta or Rice?

My lunches usually consist of chicken with vegetables and potatoes or pasta or rice. Is there one that is generally healthier than the other? Which one do you think you can get the most volume for the same amount of calories?

I don't know, I don't go by volume, but by satiety and satisfaction. You'll just have to measure it out if you think it's useful - prepare all of them and calculate the calories, and then weigh and measure as best as you can. All foods have nutrients and different nutritional profiles and it's impossible to say if one single food is healthier than another. A varied diet comprising of plenty of fresh foods, is genereally considered healthy.

I eat all of them.. sometimes daily. I need carbs to feel satisfied... you'd have to measure it out to see which fills you up more for the volume.

this!!! eat all of it, change it up, each have different benefits and the variety keeps it interesting. I like to cube up sweet potatoes and toss them in olive oil, salt and pepper and bake in a hot oven for 30 or so minutes... they're great in salads or you can do the same with butternut or acorn squash... just to add something different to the carb mix.. of course there is always whole grain bread or pita.

What kind of potato, what kind of rice what kind of pasta? Look it up and compare.
I wouldn't want to eat the same thing every day. If I had to choose one I would choose a potato because I feel that it is the most filling for me.
