Weight logging

When you log weight lifting exercise why does it not count calories burned? What's the point of logging it other than to keep track of what you do and your PR?

You can log strength training under cardio exercises which gives you a burn. If you log it under strength training, it doesn't give you a burn.

As you said, mainly to track what you did, exercise minutes, and PR. Most of the strength training entries under cardio I find to be very off anyway, and the calorie burn is hard to measure with regular lifting... if you are doing a fast paced circuit (like Crossfit, etc) wearing a fitness tracker like a fitbit would be the best way to track and log those calories.

Also, I often don't log my strength training because I have a journal that I track my exercises and all other info pertaining to my lifting. Occasionally I will log it when I feel like it and remember.
