Yes, yes, yes I know this is a very non-scientific bad way to calculate calories. Save me the judgement But estimates for this dish vary WIDELY.
So I thought it would be fun to ask everyone for their GUESSTIMATE.
Chicken, onion, broccoli, sliced thin carrot, rice and peanut sauce. Only measurement I know is 1 full cooked cup of white rice. It's a Thai dish.
The first picture, there is chicken, broccoli etc under the rice. The rice is on top of it.
Ok, go!

There seems to be a lot of brown gravy so I would go with 7750

Peanut sauce!
And I agree, that's why I was going for 700's.
My thought was 200 for rice, 150 for chicken, 250 for peanut sauce, and 150 for the rest.

Peanut sauce is likely about 400 calories for a half of a cup. If she was able to coat all of that food in the sauce , then there was probably a lot in there. I would imagine this meal is within the 700 calorie range for sure.

This thread is turning into an interesting example of how humans are terrible as guessing calorie consumption.2

But I want to know the real answer!0

I say 600.0

Close to kow thai gai.
800 cals for that large portion.1 -
There doesn't seem to be that much sauce though... I'd say 600 to be sure but it's probably around 500.0
-
600-700 just because I can't tell how much sauce is there.0
-
Around 800-850 I would guess1
-
Between 500 and 700 calories.0
-
700-8000
-
I'd guess about 600 or so0
-
I would settle at around 6-700. The sauce is the Unknown, so if I was logging I would probably play safe and log 800.0
-
And this is the situation every one of is in when we eat out at any restaurant without published nutrition.
My guess: 750. Then I would add 50-100 calories because I know it is just a guess. (It looks fantastic btw. Enjoy!)1
