Fixed calorie budget not altered by weight changes?

In short, is it possible to create a plan with a fixed budget of 1800 calories per day, with no changes when my weight changes? In other words, is it possible to create a "static budget"?
(I need to do this for a medically supervised program preparing for bariatric surgery, so please don't ignore the question and tell me instead that this is a bad idea, etc. It's what I need to do for my own reasons.)

If it is a medically supervised program, preparing you for surgery, I would say, listen to your doctor's or nutritionist's advice0

I believe if you go into the goals section of your homepage here, you click edit and adjust your calorie goal to that amount. I hope this works for you.

That's what I do. My deficit gets smaller as I lose weight rather than lowering my calorie intake. It's a perfectly valid strategy.
I don't like needing to figure out how to cut more calories as I lose. I found a calorie amount that I like (that's below my goal weight maintenance calories) and just let my rate of loss get slower and slower.0 -
Yes, if you manually enter a calorie goal it never changes unless you change it.
I do the same because since the beginning it's (possibly coincidentally) been about the right amount of calories to lose about 1% body weight per week, which is my target rate of loss.1 -
Didn't our calorie allotment used to adjust according to our weight loss? Like when we dropped a certain amount it asked or told us to check ...or I dunno brought the page up to see if we wanted to make adjustments?
Maybe it was before the update? I don't recall that happening in quite sometime no matter how many lbs. I drop. 10, 20 doesn't seem to matter it no longer brings up that page to adjust %'s etc. at least not for me.
Anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm not sure how well I explained it...

Thanks, MissusMoon and everyone else. I set my calories to 1800. After I lose some weight, I'll check to confirm that the number does not change.0

MFP might change it if you log more than 10 lbs lost but you can just reset it to the value you want OR just don't log new weights into the program and keep track of your weight elsewhere (or at doc office). If you don't change your weight, MFP won't change your calorie goal.0
