Overnight 2lb variances

So I'm spiking up and down 1.5 to 2lb overnight.

Can anyone give me a clue as to what it is?

I'm assuming it's red bull hangover... Sore workout muscles... Water retention after carbs...

Looking for affirmation really. 2lb seems a lot!

I also seem to have these spikes and variances when I'm close to "the next stone" looking at my trend. I wonder if I'm subconsciously tripping myself up? Phew!

15.24 to 15.04 to 15.28 in 48hours.

Natural weight fluctuations happen on a daily basis to everyone :) Completely 100% normal. On weekends when I eat out more I can even spike to as much to 3-5 lbs. If I just eat normally and healthy during weekdays, my weight will still spike .5-2 lbs. Try to only check your weight first thing in the morning after you have used the bathroom. This will be the time most likely when you will weigh your least :) I avoid stepping on the scale entirely on the weekends lol

Weight fluctuation is normal. Think about it: if you weigh yourself, eat a low calorie meal and drink a decent amount of water, when you weigh yourself again you'll probably have a difference of several pounds. This doesn't represent 'true' weight gain since there's no way you could have gained several pounds from a single low calorie meal, it's just that the food you ate and the water you drank are being weighed along with you.

Like @hiyomi said, weighing yourself first thing in the morning is a good way to give your body time to process everything and get a measurement closer to your actual weight. I usually only weigh once a week at the same time each day to keep from obsessing over scale numbers.

    Thanks guys.

It seemed like a lot but now it seems average.

I weigh myself daily, post bathroom first thing in the morning as it helps to keep me accountable. If i weighed once a week I would squeak in a few more nibbles and snacks.

It the first time I've been brave enough to do it that way and so far so good... Even with the fluctuations. I know it's all about the downward trend in the end but being so close to the next stone I think I'm being a bit of an eager beaver

Nothing to even worry about is what it is. Like that song says, don't let the sound of your own wheels make you crazy. I think that was Prince.

Normal weight fluctuations, water retention and the food that your body has absorbed over the course of the day. Nothjng to worry about!

I weigh myself first thing every morning after using the bathroom.

This is a normal month when I was losing weight (I'm now at my goal weight), charted in the Happy Scale app:

None of the fluctuations bothered me, because I could see the downward trend.

You might find it helpful to use Happy Scale, trendweight.com, Libra, or something similar, or just weigh weekly.

    Kind regards.
