Healthy frying

Is there any way of frying healthily. I currently use a little bit olive oil in a pan to make chicken. Is that healthy. If it isn't, can frying ever be healthy.

Yup.it is..I use two or three tablespoon and later just incorporate my veg in that pan.But sometimes when I buy whole chicken.I bake with skin .so no need for oil.then I do not eat the skin..unless it's stuck..looool0

I use butter for pan frying, which is our preferred method for meats. I find the flavor better than oil or margarine.0

I won an Actifry at the company Christmas party. It crisps up the meal with a single tablespoon of oil, using hot air.0

If you have a decent non stick pan, ideally with a lid, you can fry without any oil.
I have one of the wide base with sides higher than a frying pan and lower than a saucepan. It's perfect and cook nearly everything in it. Obviously not as nice as frying in butter but much better on the calories.
Spray oils are good too.
I also came across a recipe with something they called it "healthy sauté". You cut leeks into thin shreds and fry them in a tablespoon of stock. Add a further tablespoon part way through cooking.(then add the rest of the stock and juice of half a lemon, pop your salmon on top put the lid on the saucepan. They come out looking a little like a noodle soup with steamed salmon on top). Worked beautifully in that recipe but I haven't tried it in anything else

Saturated fats are the safest and healthiest to fry with. I use coconut oil and lard,; butter sometimes if the pan isn't too hot.0

"healthy" is subjective. A little olive oil is fine.. it does have kind of a low smoke point though. If your watching calories i would measure the oil because those cals creep up fast.
edit-i use olive oil for raw purposes and ghee(clarified butter) for frying and high heat purposes.0
