Hey everyone! My name is Angel, I am 27 years old and I have been struggling with my weight since I was around 12. It stinks!! I hate the fact I have to watch everything I put in my mouth. Working full time and having a 20 month old leaves little room for exercise but I'm trying to get 30 mins to an hour of the treadmill 5 days a week. I do need some help. I am all about cooking at home and eating healthy and I love to cook. My problem is my husband. He always wants to order pizza (my favorite and my downfall) and get fast food. I would rather not, but always give in and get it. How do I get the heck out of that mindset?? I need to put my foot down and think of myself if I am going to lose about 70lbs to get to my goal weight. Any suggestions?! Please help!

bump.
No one has replied yet, so I willGetting out of that mindset is hard (as we both know)- there's really no way to get out of it except just to "do it". I know, it sounds ridiculous- but really, what else is there? you either do it, or don't. You need to tell yourself that you KNOW that the pizza is bad for you, and that you know you'll feel guilty afterwards. Once you start the momentum on that, it will eventually come naturally. Starting is the hardest part.
My husband the other day said "Lets start on the 1st of July" (to eat well).... I said no. I'm starting now. Not tomorrow, not the next time, NOW. And that in itself made me feel awesome, then once you start working out , odds are you wont want the pizza cause you know you worked hard and that would just ruin it.
Talk to Al and explain to him how you need to wokr on you and that youd appreciate it if he helpd. I had to do that with Billy, and now he's on the bandwagon with me, to movitate me. Maybe that would help?
You know I'm only a phone call away. if you want pizza, call me- and I'll tell you no! or, if you want- eat it, and just make sure you account for it in other areas (work out more, or eat less and more "clean" for the next meal)
I love you and I'll help you in any way I can! Motivation is SO important!0 -
It just takes a little work on your part. My advice is educate yourself on healthy eating. Buy a food scale and watch portions. Limit processed and fast foods. Cook fresh Veggies and Meats. Eat whole grain Low carb Low Cal Breads and Pasta. Fresh Fruits. Did I say watch Portions. In the beginning it will be hard to get over cravings. But if you stick with it you will. Don't drink your calories. Did I say watch portions. Oh and watch portions.0
