I've been gluten-free for 3 weeks now, and have been cutting back on my dairy.
    Adding you!

If you think you have celiac, I encourage you to go to the doctor and get tested. It is an autoimmune disease where the gluten protein attacks your intestines. :)

I am lactose intolerant, so my dairy is limited to Greek Yogurt and aged cheeses. That's about it.

I did not eat gluten for awhile in an effort to feel better while the doctors were trying to find out what is wrong with me, and I did feel better. However, I'm have been eating gluten until I get tested for celiac. This has all been a doctor's care.

You add in a lot of gluten free substitute foods, bread crackers etc try using more whole foods fruit, veg, meat, fish, eggs ...quinoa, black/brown rice , bean pastas, sweet potatoes, gluten fr oats

I stick to basic protein carbs fats and veggies for meals some I have carbs some I have fats , it takes a while to get used to not going back to gluten free versions of your old food.

Thank you so much for your advice I will definitely take it on board , your right I think I just take the easier option sometimes as have a heavy work load plus still adjusting to not eat gluten/dairy. I will be reading your food diary for inspiration! Thanks again :)

I try hard not to eat either because of their inflammatory properties.

A close friend of mine is coeliac and she found that the fake gluten products (GF bread, cereal etc) were causing her problems so has switched to eating just foods which are naturally gluten free.

You need to make sure you're getting enough iron and calcium so the usual pulses, greens, nuts, seeds, fish.

Check out the gluten-free dairy - free vegetable lasagna recipe on yum universe. Google it. I made it yesterday and it's wonderful.

Do you have a Pinterest account? There are TONS of GF and DF recipes on it that look pretty darn tasty. Be warned, though...Pinterest will suck you in pretty easily! Hahah
