is this a good or bad sign?

My fiancee has a job interview tomorrow and we went to the thrift store to buy him some "new" professional clothes. We couldn't find anything in his size (small)! Is this a sign that people are losing weight and giving only the big clothes away, or that people don't even have small clothes anymore?

I'd like to be optimistic and say the thrift stores only have big clothes because people are getting smaller!

(We ended up going to Burlington Coat Factory to find him a suit jacket, best $90 we ever spent.)

I gave away all my "fatty" clothes as I call them (no offense to anyone meant, I just say that about my stuff). I just like to think that someone who lost weight to go from like size 24 down to a 20 can now buy my old size 20 jeans. :flowerforyou:
  • I think it's a good sign. If you check the racks in stores, the small sizes seem to sell out first. I wonder whether it's because people who are smaller are proud of their bodies and buy clothes more often, or if they just don't put that many small sizes out.
