Im a stay at home mom with no car because the husband has it all day. We are miles away from anything.
Im needing to lose 15-20 pounds. I have been trying for months.
Looking for some awesome workouts i can do from home that will burn fat.
Not interested right now in gaining muscle.

I would look into Insanity. My friend is also a stay at home mom and she lost 13 pounds with her first round of it, which was 2 months. She still drank some beer and stuff (her husband brews their own so they drink often. lol) too so if you're eating healthy then you'll probably do even better than that.

Running is a great way to burn fat with little to no investment in equipment. I generally try and stagger my running with intervals of sit-ups, push-ups and burpees so that I confuse my muscles and increase my heart rate (shed the lbs and tone up *not really muscle building*)

Lift your child *do curls etc* to tone the arms and squats with them in your arms to trim the thighs. Basically move as much as your little one and you will drop the lbs.

    Hope that helps

Billy Blanks Tae Bo videos are amazing, I have one that's 42 minutes and you can burn up to 500 calories or so. My son who is 5 watches me do it and corrects my form, haha!

I would recommend any of Jillian Micheal's videos. She's tough but she knows what she is doing. I've lost almost 60 lbs and most of that was with her videos.

I can't ses a thread like this and not recommend www.bodyrock.tv! Her workouts are intense- super intense, short- usually no more than 20 minutes max, mostly use bodyweight so can be done at home (when she uses a dip station or sandbag you can modify the exercise) and you can adapt the workout to suit your fitness level. There are loads and loads of fantastic workouts, even just to get ideas. It is mostly interval training, so great to get your heart rate up and a super workout in a short time.

I don't have a gym membership for financial reasons, so I work out at home. My primary cardio is running with some cycling and softball thrown in the mix, and all of my strength-training is in my living room! My home gym consists of the following:

    - Foldable Stationary Bike ($130, Amazon.com)
    - Yoga/exercise mat ($15)
    - Balance ball ($15)
    - Two resistance bands (less than $10 each)
    - Jump rope ($10)
    - Fitness DVDs (30 Day Shred, a variety of Spark People DVDs, dance cardio, etc.)
    - Dumbbells (8lb pair and 3lb pair)
    - Ankle weights (adjustable between 2lb and 10lb each)
    - Pull-up bar that fits in a doorframe
    - My running shoes (Brooks Ghost 3)
    - Garmin Forerunner 305

Things I didn't have to buy that I use to work out with are this small chair I use for tricep dips and our kitchen step-stool I use for calf raises and inclined/declined push ups.

The most important thing is to find something you enjoy doing!

Do you subscribe to Netflix? Some instant workouts there: 10 Minute Solutions, Crunch, Self, Dance Off! and other brands.
They have many more for mailing.

Hulu.com has a health & wellness channel with lots of exercise videos http://www.hulu.com/genres/Health-and-Wellness?type=tv
Brands include: Self, Denise Austin, Yoga Zone, Yoga Fusion, Kathy Smith

This allows you to test drive DVDs - so you can figure out what you like best

Also, one I forgot about it on youtube, there are videos by SparkPeople.com, they are typically about 10 minutes long and use little or no equipment.

I haven't done her workouts but I do watch them every now and then for motivation. I did do her 300 squat challenge...took me 15 minutes and three days to recover lol.

If you're looking to purchase a series, I highly recommend Turbo Jam and Hip Hop Abs for beginners, or alternatively, if you're more advanced, TurboFire or INSANITY. The Jillian Michaels DVDs are also great for some...I personally didn't enjoy them. Personality clash, I think. As others mentioned as well, there are tons of great freebies out there too! But I've had TONS of success with the Turbo Jam/Fire programs and I can't speak highly enough of all things Beachbody :)

I have two of Jillian Michaels' DVDs: 30 Day Shred and 6-Week Six-Pack. Both are great! I do them in the morning before the rest of the family wakes up.
