Does anyone have / use one of those pro-step or maxburn vibration plates? If so what are your thoughts on them?

There is one in our gym. I asked a couple of PTs in there what they were for. None seemed to know.

How can i put it nicely? ... "There is a certain demographic that tends to use it" and in the year I've been going to this gym they seem to look the same as they did on day one.

I keep meaning to ask one of them what it supposed to do.

Edited to add: It's bloody noisy though! You can hear it above the sound system and the banks of treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes.

Dont bother asking someone who isn't getting results what something they are using is suppose to do. It ain't doing it.

@packerjohn good point. I expect the answer would be something along the lines of either:
    • "I don't know, someone told me to use it"
    • "I don't know, I saw someone else use it"
    • "It melts away fat"

Thinking about it now though: you could use it as a protein drink shaker?

"Max burn" plus "vibration plate" is the oxymoron to end all oxymorons
