Need help and assistance Losing this weight

Hi, I'm just joining this app and I'm from North Carolina and really wanna tackle my weight, I have to lose this weight if I want to be around and would love some tips or advise as to where to begin on this journey,

I'm also from North Carolina. Glad to see more people from the state. And tips for starting, what I did was cut out the basic and easy stuff. Like sodas and all that. I drink only water, that cuts out a lot of calories from drinking. Also watch your portions, and try to count calories and set a number for yourself. I count everything I eat, and I aim for around 1300-1400 a day. And I hit in this range everyday.3

Hey, I'm from NC as well! Feel free to add me. My best advice is to focuse on protein and veggies each meal. Then with extra calorie add fruits, grains and treats!0

Really I think this is easy. You plug in your numbers, select an activity level and pick a "reasonable" rate of loss. In my case I picked 2 pounds a week. If you are honest in logging and calorie counting you must lose weight if you are truly in deficit. I like to call it simple math. Once you get started I think it helps to start eating healthy. I am in South Carolina so I had to give up sweet tea, hamburgers, french fries etc. You will likely be shocked at how much you are over eating. I made this a lifestyle change instead of a diet and added exercise into the mix. I lost 50 pounds, dropped my cholesterol 50 points, stopped snoring, cured insomnia, lowered blood pressure and became a runner. I must say that I feel great, its 8:30 AM and I have 13,000 steps (7 mile run) on my fit bit already. This is very doable and MFP is the right place for me. Now get moving!3

Hey, well done for having the motivation to make a change!
My advice would be to use an online calculator to work out the calories you need to be eating to lose weight - IIFYM.com have a really good TDEE one. I find it to be a bit more accurate that the MFP one.
I'd recommend weighing out all of your food and being as accurate as you can with everything. It will seem a little tiresome to begin with but it'll be second nature before you know it.
Get your workouts in, motivate yourself to get up and do it for you. You're totally capable of getting to where you want to be so go get it

Hi King - start familiarizing yourself with calorie counts and macronutrients (protein, carbs, fats). Figure out what your calorie deficit should be by plugging your current weight into a BMI calculator (http://www.calculator.net/calorie-calculator.html)

Learn to cook good food for yourself, buy a good whey protein powder (Optimum Nutrition comes in a bazillion flavors and tastes pretty good) to use as a meal substitute and feed your muscles for a good strength training workout, and then do the strength and cardio training of your choice. Leanitup.com is a great site with a lot of good info, diet and w/o suggestions. I always enjoy how all-in di Santos is when he writes something there.
And for those days when you reaaaaally don't wanna w/o, promise yourself that if you still feel that way after 20 minutes, you can mellow it out to one exercise per body part instead of multiples or something - but mostly do it anyway. The habit you're trying to build is working out, not weaseling out of it, lol.
For what it's worth, buying yourself some basic equipment like an adjustable weight bench (decline, incline) barbells and dumbells really isn't all that expensive - look around on ebay instead of stores, too. Beats the poo out of having to drag butt to a gym, imo.0
