Water

I don't know what it is, but lately I have had the most difficult time drinking my daily amount of water. It used to be so easy to do and now it feels forced.
Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Yes! When I first started losing weight, it was extremely difficult to drink water. I wasn't a big water drinker so it made it even more difficult. Now, i carry a 32 oz. water bottle with me everywhere I go. It makes it much easier cause it's right there so I find myself sipping from it all day long.0

I have and what I did was throw in a Gatorade Propel Zero to get a little different taste. Still zero calories, but does have sodium and other vitamins. It helps when I need a break from water.0

what i usually do is drink a bottle of water with breakfast lunch and dinner...if a 16 oz bottle of water = 2 8oz cups...theres 6 cups right there. hope that helps0

Right there with you hon. I can't even stand it right now!0

same here. A few weeks ago I was getting 8 a day, yesterday, for example, 3 was a huge struggle.0

I go through periods like that. I just can't stand the thought of downing another glass of water. Thankfully, it comes and goes. When it hits me, I'll make up a pitcher of Crystal Light and drink that when I need something to drink between meals. With meals, I'll still do plain ice water.0

When that happens to me I like to throw in a fruit to spruce it up a bit. An orange slice or a lemon always helps me. You also have to think that maybe you are hydrated. Typically when working out you get thirsty and so that water tastes a whole lot better, but if you are not thirsty, then you are not dehydrated.0

I have to put flavor packets in my water to be able to drink it, that is how I get my water intake.:bigsmile:0

Thanks, everyone! I'll def. try the fresh fruit idea... I just hate that it comes in waves! Right now? I HATE water! lol

This what I do at times:
In a blender I put 100% apple juice (I usually use at least 1/2 of the 64 oz bottle because my family has it as well)
I mix in some frozen berries (either great value no sugar added, or fresh frozen strawberries)
then I blend it...once it's all blended I put it in a pitcher and add water. So if the juice is 1/2 a pitcher then I add 1/2 a pitcher of water.
It taste great and you are killing 2 birds with one stone. You are drinking water and getting some daily fruits in
I also do this with oranges. I squeeze a few of them in a pitcher then add water...I usually have to sweet this a little cause it might be too tart you have to play with it. I use stevia for the sweetness though intead of regular sugar.0 -
I have always disliked the "taste" (or maybe the lack thereof) of water during TOM. I don't know why but I just drink something else during that time.0

I can't see any reason why I would actually drink 8 cups of water a day.
I've never consumed that much, on a regular basis, even though I grew up in a hot climate. Further, I've never been able to find a medical reason to drink that much.
On my diet, which is < 1k cals/day, I've rarely been hungry so there's been no need to fake my stomach out by drinking so much water.0 -
I only drink if I feel thirsty.
I actually love water, nothing hits the spot when you're thirsty like water does.
When you're not thirsty then your body doesn't need a drink, it has enough water.0 -
