    Very amusing posts .... My female friends over the years have said the constantly get this from men on all sites.. Dating ones mainly .
    I was confused as to why blokes would would think they could get anywhere acting like this ?

    Then I met a female friend of a friend who confessed to taking a guy up on his requests!!

    I believe this girl has opened the flood gate to the weirdos ! They clearly work on the theory of throw enough darts, one will hit the bullseye !

    I, too, assumed that the success rate for that approach must be close to zero. I'd never considered that, like spam emails or the "Nigerian money scams", it costs nothing to go 'fishing'. The nerd in me is curious as to whether odds are better or worse than playing the lottery.

    The human in me says, its not worth the hurt caused to all of the innocent victims of the correspondence. At least the "I am Prince [name], please send me cash to help smuggle money out of my country" email doesn't hurt the recipient unless they are greedy enough to get caught up in the whole smuggling bit.

    Could be worse. Dating sites chicks probably get 10x the messages. Worst part is as a guy, if you just release the fury before going onto a dating site or a place like this, you wouldn't be sending out msgs upon msgs. Some people never learn though.
