I only had about 15lb to lose and it took me about 8 weeks I was really good and cut out all the junk during this time. I'm still calories counting but I notice I'm giving in to temptation much easier the last 2 weeks. Today for example met friends for coffee knew I was going to the cinema tonight (some more junk temptation) and I had not 1 but 2 slices of cake!!! During my weight loss I would have said "no" with no problem but now I'm at my goal its harder?? If I keep it up I am going to ruin all my hard work so how do I keep myself motivated. :frown:

That's a good question and super CONGRATS to you!!!!

Since I lost a ton a while ago and started creeping up I have had to give some though to this ... maintenance..

I believe what I shall do when I get there is continue to check the scale weekly.. and every other week or so log my calories to make sure i'm judging what i'm eating properly. If I creep more then 2.. drop down for a week..

I have had issues with weight my whole life. I believe I will always need to monitor myself. It would be a cherry on top if I find that it all just falls into place when I get there.. but i'm not expecting my mindset or patterns to just change because I reached my goal.

I totally agree with her...this has to be a PERMENATE chage in mindset and lifestyle. Statistics show that if not the weight is sure to return eventually if not. Just keep logging in manintenence mode. Don't beat yourself up over a few bad days we all have them. Just keep it up, stay active and try to make the right choices. Best wishes and CONGRATS!
