Thank goodness for MFP.....

Hi,

Just wanted to say thank goodness for MFP and the ability to scan bar codes from foods that I eat. I have never been one to count calories or watch my potions, but tbh my motivation to start to loose weight came from that TV show with 600lb people going thru weight loss and stomach surgey along later after extreme weight loss, skin removal. That was the start of my journey and the acquisition of a vivo 2 to follow. I have been 28 days into this regime change and have lost 20lbs. I feel so much better and have a lot more energy than I have had in years. MFP is a godsend for keeping me on track. My goal is to lose another 25 which should bring me right in where I should be. I do need some support in doing this so if anyone can offer up a hand, that would be great!!

Congratulations! In about 30 days 9lbs. This is also my first time counting calories and the app has been invaluable!

I'm envious, you should be doing back flips. That is inspiration for myself. Add me if you can, not sure how to myself

Thanks. I am really quite impressed with myself, but I have fallen off the wagon once or twice on the weekends. I make sure if I'm going to have a high calorie day, I need to toss some good exercise in there for the offset.

I know what you mean! My mind was wandering on a run the other day, and I was wondering why I never did this calorie counting thing earlier. It dawned on me that pre-smartphone it was much more difficult. You had to look up the calories then calculate them for your portion and log and total them manually. MFP makes it so much easier!

The bar code scanner is a sanity saver! Great start to your first month & it sounds like you're loving the rewards of the work enough to stick with it :)

The bar code scanner is an amazing tool. It sure beats manually entering all the data. Thanks for the encouragement. It's been a great month for sure. Looking forward to completing June to see where I'm at...
