I've been seeing a lot of mention of this 30 Day Shred and was wondering what is it exactly? Is it for men and women? How does it compare to p90x (other than it being 30 days instead of 90)?
thanks!
thanks!

I just found it on On-Demand. Not sure if you have that available with your cable or not. I was wanting to get it to try. We bought the P90X about 4 years ago, but there are only a few of the dvds that I can do... I found that it is way over a beginner level.0 -
its Jillian Michales. I really like it.0

I've heard its good for losing inches and toning as opposed to weight but I'm going to give it a try starting on Monday when I'm done moving.0

I personally hated P90X....I know that I am the only one in the world that hated it....everyone gives it great reviews. There is a very strict diet that goes with P90 and the food is disgusting (to me), extremely time consuming and can get expensive. I feel like the workout was created a man's needs in mind. I did it for 3 weeks and wasn't seeing results in the places that were most important to me. My arms, back and chest were looking great but it didn't do allot for my lower body. It is not advised to do P90 if you have a bad neck, back or knees. I ended up jacking my neck up by week three of P90.
The 30 Shred is one of Jilian Micahel's workout dvds. I just started the 30 day shred and 'No More Trouble Zones'. The 30DS has 3 20 minute videos so you can rotate one each day (that's what I am doing). "NMTZ" is 50 minute workout. So far I absolutely love both of these videos! I feel like her workouts are geared more towards what my body needs.
With all this being said, I think that you need to choose your workout dvds by your personal preferences, your bodytype and your goals.0 -
Yeah, it helps you can get the Jillian videos for $10 at Target too...P90x was costly when I looked into it.0

P90X is hard. 30 day Shred is only 30 days and you work with 2 lb weights ( I use 5lbs) I am doing it almost finished i recommend it. it is a great workout.0

I just did Day 1, level 1, and loved it! Picked it up for $10 at Target, definitely feel like it was a good purchase Hahah, have a glass of water within reach though, you might need it and there is no rest between moves!0

Ok, I just started this too and I LOVE it! Are you supposed to do it 30 days in a row, or do you still take a rest day?0

Thanks! That iswhat I am planning to do then. I started on Monday and haven't missed a day yet. Last night was hard, but I expected that. I am doing it with my usual cardio. Did everyone else add this to your routine or switch to this?0
