Looking for a boost in motivation? Never forget where you started, how you felt then, and what you could (or couldn't) do.
Yesterday I bounded up the porch steps with a few fairly heavy bags of groceries in each hand. Then it hit me, I couldn't do this 2 years ago, not really even 1 year ago. Back then, I carried one bag of groceries in each hand. I was pissed if they were very heavy. I walked from the car over to the porch, set them on the porch (only 4-5 steps high), then walked up the steps, 2 feet per step, using handrails. I picked up the groceries when I got to the top and carried them into the house. I longed for the day when I could bounce up steps without thinking about it, and I'm there!
Don't you think that's enough motivation for me to get up and go to personal training tomorrow, go to fitness class 3 times a week, run twice a week, walk 10,000 steps a day, and eat to my goals? You bet! I didn't achieve running up my steps by sitting around complaining about feeling unmotivated for 2 years.
If you want to make progress, then do it! If you're not moving forward, you're moving back. None of us wants that. Keep it going everyone!!

You are correct. When I asked my personal trainer how to stay motivated : "Motivation comes and goes. Dedication is what bridges the gap. Pain is the glue of transformation. Just be relentless with effort and the outcome will be positive one. "1
