“Millions of people can believe in you, and yet none of it matters if you don't believe in yourself.” ~ Bernajoy Vaal

You tend to be your own worst critic but what you need to be is your own best supporter. Embrace and celebrate the milestones you reach along the way. Whether it is a new article of clothing, a manicure, a trip somewhere, a new book, or even a victory dance alone in your room, take the time to be a cheerleader for yourself. It will make a huge difference and encourage you to move forward. No matter where you are on your path, love yourself…you are completely worth it!

"Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy." ~ Norman Vincent Peale ~

Even if you stumble do not lose faith that you can accomplish your goals. Refocus, recommit, remember! Refocus on your goals, maybe they need a little adjusting but goals are what move us forward by giving us purpose. Recommit to your plan and actions. Remember why you are doing what you are doing, what end purpose are you trying to achieve and how will it benefit you.

“Watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you, because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.” – Roald Dahl

Look around you and take time to find and appreciate beauty amidst your surroundings. Whatever it is, observe it intently and let it bring you joy. Open yourself up to it and let it feed your mind and spirit which is just as important as what we feed our bodies...

    Have an awesome Saturday!!

“If you trust in yourself. . .and believe in your dreams. . .and follow your star. . . you’ll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren’t so lazy.”

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

"It isn't the mountains ahead to climb that wear you out; it's the pebble in your shoe."

(Note: This quote has been attributed to a variety of people including Muhammad Ali and the original quote referenced a grain of sand in the shoe)

To me this quote is about persevering and letting go of the baggage that weighs you down in pursuit of a goal. When it comes to pursuing a healthier life it is important to let go of the negative events, regrets, memories, and sometimes even people that will keep you from working towards and attaining your goal. Holding on to those negatives is like adding pebbles to your shoes and the more you hold onto the more pebbles you have.

Easier said than done right? But have you ever really (I mean REALLY) stopped to analyze what and who may be keeping you where you are? Figure out what is helping you, what is hindering you and take the time to write it down. Can you change any of it? Is it the situation or other person that needs to change or is it you? If you can't change it maybe it is time to let it go. It is so much easier to make that journey and tackle those mountains with your arms free and swinging than with suitcases full of 'history books'.

    Have a wonderful Wednesday!!
