Hi all! I'm finding maintenance to be quite challenging and would love to find some support from fellow maintainers. I think I'm starting to figure out the system that is going to work for me and finding some balance, but I know that this is going to be a lifelong journey and I'm going to need continual support and would love to give some as well.

Please add me!

:ohwell: I just went to maintain and I am having a hell of a time too. I keep feeling full in the morning which makes me not want to eat breakfast.

Oh man I wish being full was my issue :) I'm hungry all the time! So I feel into the binge restrict cycle to maintain for a while. I'm finally coming out of that and becoming more balanced with my calories and aligning my exercise, hunger and calories and finding that to be much more sustainable and healthy for me.

I also struggle with a ridiculous sweet tooth and liking to indulge occassionally so finding a way to properly incorporate that has been challenging too. I'm starting to learn I can have it all - just not all at once:)

I'm also in maintenance mode at the moment. I am slowly introducing certain foods back into my diet like red meat and bread. When I feel kinda full from heavier foods, then I do a diet day or diet half day the next day to feel more "normal". I found that red meat stays in my system for 2 days, so I still avoid it most times.

I also have a sweet tooth and will indulge as long as calories permit, but not everyday. :)

I am in maintenance myself, but I haven't found a good formula yet. I upped my cals to 1400 but I am still losing weight (this is including 2 cheat days on the weekend). So right now I am tinkering with different calorie variables to find the "ideal number" that I can go with that will keep me where I am at. It was hard to go from 1200 to 1400 and I felt guilty and almost sinful for going over 1200 that first week of maintenance...but over time you accept it and it just works out for the better. I would just slowly increase those cals until you find your happy medium.

Yep, I spent probably 6 months undereating and really messing things up. I think I'm finally over that and accepting that it's ok to eat and I won't gain weight as long as I keep it balanced with my exercise.
