HELP .. Finding it hard to get into exercise

I have gotten to a weight that I really don't want to be at. I know it is all down to my eating patterns. For the past three weeks or so I am really starting to sort out my bad habits. And being back on MFP religiously has really helped.
Some people may not understand, but just getting my head around my eating habits has been a big deal for me and quite a hard for me...but I'm getting there.
The only thing I am struggling with is getting back into exercise.
Does anyone have any advice or any suggestions of even some small exercises I can start doing to get me back in slowly.

Thanks in advance!

Congrats on working on your life. A great exercise to "ease into" things is walking, however far you can or want to.

Yes, getting your head around healthy eating is hard for a LOT of people. My suggestion for exercise would be to try out lots of diffetent things & see what you enjoy. The best exercise is the one you enjoy & will be most likely to do over & over. Start small, whatever that means (low weights, not much time, easy pace, etc) and work your way up. Find the sweet spot between a little soreness (if you're starting out, you will most likely be sore at first) and being so sore you can't move or don't want to work out again. If you're CRAZY sore, that's your body telling you to back off just a little. Good luck!

Find something you enjoy. Swimming, walking, dancing (some of my early workouts were just me dancing around to my ipod for 10-15minutes), bike riding.
When starting out, the absolute best exercise is the one you'll do.

Just start small. 15 minutes. Try different things to figure out what you like. When I started, I had zero interest in exercise. I was sedentary and just kind of lazy so I'd do 15 minutes here and there. I worked my way up and now after a couple years I do an hour of intense exercise everyday and I love it. But when I first started, truly my only motivation to workout was that I got to eat extra calories lol.

    Great post by @KiyaK

I'd just add is that to lose weight, you just need a calorie deficit. It's not compulsory to exercise.

Having said that, exercise is important for health and fitness, and for me, it makes me incredibly happy, and as a bonus, earns you more calories to eat nommy things!

I agree with the other comments - start with small increments of time, like 10 or 15 minutes, and pick something you'll enjoy. Love music? Take a walk and listen to your favorite songs. Enjoy dance? Put on a youtube video and follow along - there are lots of fun dance/exercise videos on youtube. Hate everything? Just pick the one that sounds least awful and make yourself do it anyway. Don't think about it too hard. Just pick something and do it. You can always switch it up later.

Healthy eating is the most important part of weight loss/healthy lifestyle, so you are on the right path! Like others before me I also recommend to choose an activity that doesn't feel like exercise (for me it's yoga). In some time you'll start to enjoy being active and it will not feel as hard anymore to work out and to try new things. What also helps me when I'm not in the mood to exercise is to watch motivational fitness video's on Youtube (before and after enz.). Also don't think too "long in advance", you don't have to do the whole work out or to finish the whole 30 minutes on a treadmill. Just do your best, just start and you'll see. Every minute is better than nothing. Visualize how you'll feel in a year from now! :) You can do it!

Forget about liking exercise at first. If it's outside your routine, it will be difficult, but with practice it will become easier. Start with anything and go from there.
