So I am in my early 30's have lost around 55lbs, and now more and more people that want to remind me that I am withering away. I have worked hard to drop those pounds and to get my BMI back in a healthy range. I feel embarrassed and partially speechless when people point out my loss. Any advice on what to say to people when I get I those awarkard conversations?

Did you lose your weight in a very short period of time? Your food dairy indicates your daily goal is approx 2300, I went back about three or four days and you never hit above 1400/1500 calories a day. If this is an indication of our typical daily menu, it may be that you have lost a lot of weight quickly, hence, the comments that you are withering away.
That many calories is not likely sufficient for you given your daily calorie allowance, it is possible you've lost too much lean body mass vs body fat.1 -

I have lost in the 2lb range per week. I have been monitoring my muscle percentage and it's has stayed right at 39.5%. I am working on getting a more balanced intake of calories, and have been increasing my strength training.0 -
Can you give a few examples of the comments? Are people actually saying "you're withering away" as if there is something wrong or are they joking around?0

Tell them you are working hard toward the goal of getting back down to your birth weight4

They are not trying to be rude. In my head it makes me wonder where my target weight should be. From what I have researched I am at the top end of what my BMI should be. I guess in Texas where everything is bigger, something is wrong with someone who is loosing weight.1 -

Aha, I get it. Now that I've lost weight I've realized that the majority of women in my demographic where I live are overweight to obese. I hadn't noticed it in the past. I get comments about being skinny despite the fact that I'm nowhere near it (I'm fit but still have excess fat.) I just remind myself that the people are not trying to be derisive and that their thoughts are skewed by our overweight culture.1 -

I understand what you're saying. I used to look at slender/"skinny" women and think they were too thin, now I realize I was just too fat so my perception was skewed.2 -
Eh people and their comments ... Some are rude on purpose some don't mean it some just always have something to say... I've been skinny and I've been heavier and during all those stages someone always had something to say .. Dont worry about other people's opinion of what u should look like .. Ull never please everyone and they will just drive u crazy and deterr u from your goals .. Focus on you only1
