Hi, I'm Sarge. I just had a pacemaker implanted on 5/28/16. I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetic, and can not walk more then 50 yards due to knee and lower back problems. I weigh 302 lbs and am 6 feet tall. I need to lose 100 pounds. I need some help with a diet that can control my medical issues and weight loss.

I might not be as sick as you -yet (knock-on-wood) but I can't walk very far either. I can't afford expensive exercise equipment, so I walk the stairs up and down until I almost faint. So far I am up to an imaginary 8th floor.
I started here about 2 weeks ago and have lost 9 lbs so far. Only 92 more to go :-)

I am having a ball here. For me it's not about weight loss, it's about changing my life. I want to walk, run, jump without fear of falling. I made our dog the promise that I will walk her soon. I want to wear my skinny clothes (size 16) and I want to burn my elastic pants in the yard in fall.

So, buckle up and let's enjoy this weight loss journey together.

Hi Sarge, well...in Sept., 2016 my doctor told me I had "borderline" high blood pressure, "borderline" high cholesterol & early onset diabetes (I am 45.) She suggested some medications but I told her to hold off & allow me to try & change things around on my own. October 1st I started my change. From Oct-Mar I dropped 50 lbs & need to dump 20 more. For me...I started on a high protein, low carb diet & my body immediately responded positively to the change. I was losing at a rate of about 10 lbs per month. I only incorporated exercise back in March which has been very positive as well. I HIGHLY suggest you look up on You Tube the story of the VERY unhealthy guy, who used a walker & was told he would never be able to exercise again but is now running marathons. He dumped well over 100 lbs. (he is retired military) & had ALOT of weight to lose, he had all of the healthy issues you mentioned AND walking problems (hence the walker) he started with YOGA (every trainer, doctor etc told him couldn't do any of it) then some yoga instructor said "I'll help you" & he DID....now he is RUNNING.....it is such an amazing & inspiration story...

Hi, my name is Sarge and I was just recently told that I have Type II diabetes and at the same time I had a pacemaker implanted. I cannot walk fast as I have both knees operated on a total of nine times! I'm Italian so I love my pasta and breads. I want to stay under 2,000 calories if possible. I'll be 63 in August and weight 303 pounds. I'm inneed of a good diet plan that will allow me to lose weight without giving up all my favorite foods. I appreciate any and all help. Thanks, Sarge
