I have a question to those eating at their minimum calorie deficit (1200 for women and 1500 for men). Do you eat back any of your exercise calories. When I was at 1400 calories I tried to avoid eating them back but I'm moving down to 1200 and with my exercise I'm eating a net calorie amount arounf 950. This seems super low to but I don't want to defeat the purpose of my exercise

I've been trying to just keep right around my 1590 suggested calories and not eat back any exercise cals. Mostly because I honestly do not know how accurate the "exercise calories" are on this site. I do tend to eat bit of them back on lifting days and try and keep them lower on cardio or off days. When I look at my weekly report I used total cals to track how I'm doing, not net (after exercise)1

I eat back up to 50% of my exercise calories. I don't trust those numbers to eat back more than that. I'm at 1220 calories a day. I started at 1300-1400 and then I didn't eat back calories, but at 1220, that's pretty difficult, especially because I lift weights, and often feel super hungry after that.1

I don't eat my exercise calories back, but then I only burn 200-300 for exercise and eat 1200-1300. I'm wanting to lose 2lb a week so want 1000 calorie deficit.1

Thank you guys for you quick replies. I like the idea of eating back a portion of my calories. I also lift weights and I feel extra hungry on those days

I usually burn like 1000 calories exercising (sometimes more) and try not to eat them back. But however when i get the late night munchies (im trying to drop that habit) i don't mind having an extra snack because of the extra calories i burned.
This is because i want to lose weight and fast if possible. When i get down to my goal weight i would be eating back the calories to maintain the weight.0
