I have had a interesting year so far, being over weight all my life and struggling with it. I got diagnosed in Febuaray with PCOS, and then with Binge eating disorder. Now He has got me on medication to regulate blood sugars and help with weight loss. Looking for friends who may suffer from the same disorders.

I can relate to the PCOS. I dont have a binge eating disorder but I can relate to eating when I'm bored. What did your doctor put you on?

A injection I do once a week, it's a diabetic med, but helps with other things as well.

They definitely make the process a bit harder. I was taking metformin for insulin resistance but quit it a while ago due to the nasty side effects. I'm now trying to lose weight by just making better choices with food and exercising. I also had binge eating disorder, but am in recovery and have been binge free for over a year now. Good luck. You can beat them both!

I am 57, diagnosed about 25 years ago. Also diagnosed with very low vitamin d (level was 9) a few years back and still struggle with keeping that on the low side of normal. What has worked for me in the past and what I hope works this time is watching my calories but also cutting as many carbs as I can.

I have been heavy my whole adult life. I found out when trying to get pregnant that my thyroid was under active and later my Vitamin D was low. All contributors to difficult weight loss. I didn't know I had PCOS until I had my hysterectomy so that was a factor too. I too have recently been diagnosed as being pre-diabetic and binge eating disorder. I know this is going to be a long hard fight to the finish but I need to stay strong for me. I begin counseling the 13th. Have you thought of seeing one for binge eating disorder? I know I can't do this on my own. I've tried and failed too many times. I not only want to be physically healthy, I want and need to me mentally healthy too. Feel free to add me. We can encourage each other along the way.

Diagnosed with pcos this year symptoms started end of last year and put on over a stone and a half since mainly due to uncontrollable eating everyday - putting on 3 pounds in less than a week isn't ideal so going to the doctors this week to talk about binge eating disorder but would love to follow people going through the same thing! Also my doctor put me on the pill to regulate my hormones but nothing to regulate my blood sugars is this only certain cases of pcos that need to do this or should I have been put on other medications?

I was diagnosed with PCOS a couple years ago, but I believe I have struggled with it since my teens. Went through a D&C in March and have been on straight birth control pills since, as well as metformin to help with PCOS side effects and diabetes. My husband and I have been married 2 years and we would eventually love to start a family. My OBGYN will put me on fertility medicine when we are ready, but before we decide to do that, I want to lose some of this weight in the hope to reduce some of the risks that go along with being obese and pregnant. I am 5'5 and 360 lbs. Another goal is to help reduce or eliminate some of my current health issues - Type 2 Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, and frequent heartburn. I have been at it for a week, starting slow- this is not my first attempt, and usually I go hard and then burn out after a month, so I'm trying a more realistic approach this time lol :) I would love to add anyone who would like to be friends and motivate each other :)

@MelanieEaton_ I have PCOS, the doctors told me I would need to be on fertility treatments to get pregnant as well. I lost 50 pounds, and then ended up pregnant. Was definitely a surprise. We weren't trying and I wasn't on anything. The doctor said it was because of the significant weight loss I had. So even getting healthier might help with not needing fertility treatments as well. Best of luck on your journey.

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 20 (24 now) and I also suffer with some binge eating tendancies! Please feel free to add me and we can do this together :)
