I tend to have garlic, ginger and soy sauce in the cupboard so I can make a suer quick and easy stirfry. I have looked up a recipe (I just make it up). Perhaps its not new and exciting but its tasty. :)

Oooh, Gemzzz12, that looks good. It might be good to add some red pepper flakes or paste if you want it to be spicy, or some rice syrup or brown sugar if you want it sweet. Or both. I usually go for both. I get the Korean red pepper paste at my local asian grocery, and it goes really well in sauces, but it might not be something you have readily available.

    1/4 Cup soy sauce
1/4 cup vinegar (red wine/ white/ apple cider/ any kind)
    Pepper
    Chili powder
    Garlic powder or fresh garlic
(Use less soy sauce and vinegar if needed)
(Add cayenne if u want a kick)
Tastes great as a marinade for veggies/meat/fish and poultry too

I love stir fry! I generally use sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and minced garlic.

Other things I've added include honey or brown sugar, red pepper oil, a splash of beer or woodchuck draft cider, ginger paste, and green onions. I have no idea on the measurements, I change ingredients and portions depending on what I'm making.

Edited to add: And these recipes from budgetbytes.com are really, really good....

Last week I did a nice sauce check it out:
    1/4 cup soy sauce
    1/4 cup orange juice
    1 TBL of fresh ginger
    5 cloves minced garlic
    1 TSP sesame oil

if you want to thicken it up, heat it up, and just add a little corn starch. I loved this sauce recipe, I even used it for a marinade for salmon.
