Finding very little info online
Sites state to eat potassium rich foods to lower blood pressure, clear up brain fog, muscle relaxation, etc, etc.
But nothing about v8 juice.
I plan on drinking one can a day:
Low sodium v-8
5.5oz can
30 calories, 700 mg potassium, 95 mg sodium,
Things I worry about: osteoporosis and bone/joint health and mobility.
If no one answers -- that's a good thing.
Any concerns, please mention them. I will google and research.
I eat natural foods rich in potassium. I just want to add this to my diet.

It is vegetable juice. 1 can of low sodium juice a day will probably not cause you any issues unless you are allergic to one of the vegetables.2

What dangers are you worried about exactly?1

I cut my finger opening a V8 can once so there's that.5 -
I've never searched for studies since it's just vegetable juice, but I can give it a personal thumbs up. I drink an 11.5 can several days a week and have for decades without any health problems. For 70 calories it's surprisingly filling and packs a powerful nutritional punch. And it tastes good.1

As someone with stage 1 hypertension and having had a stroke I can tell you that low sodium V8 has become a staple in my diet. (I actually prefer the flavour of Mott's Low Sodium Garden Cocktail - I find V8 a little bland)
It's interesting that lots of doctors will warn you about the dangers of too much sodium but many seem unaware that the RDA for potassium is 4,700mg for an adult and getting that much potassium from food takes a conscious effort.
It's also a convenient way to add a serving or two of vegetables to your diet.2 -
Yes, beware of V8 juice...it's yucky.3

Exactly. V-8 juice tastes gross. That is all.3

The only danger is that you can make it yourself cheaper and better-tasting.1

We don't have this particular brand, but I've been enjoying vegetable juices every since I was a child, namely tomato juice and a brand that had a mix of orange and carrot juice. I don't see why it would be dangerous.0

I like the spicy for my bloody marys but that is probably not what you are asking.2

Well it tastes gross...2

Be warned....tastes awful.3

I love the spicy v8, but it's not low sodium. I tend to not get enough in, though, so I don't worry about it.0

once when i was a child leaving a sharks hockey game i thought to myself "it seems like a good idea to run my thumb across the opening of a coke can" yea... it was not. Damn near sliced my thumb right off. Kids do the darnest things.1
