Now this maybe silly. Do you have to weigh meat when it is raw or is it still okay to weigh it cooked?

I prefer to weigh raw if possible and use the raw value. When cooking, methods can change the calorie content. A lot of time fat is lost when it is cooked, but it is hard to know how much. At least by weighing raw, I am overestimating.

If you do weigh cooked, make sure to use the entry that reflects that it is cooked and preferably, how. Like chicken breast, roasted, skin on. Etc.

I weigh everything raw, like pasta and pre-packaged stuff. I find it easiest.

    Preferably raw.

If you must weigh cooked, make sure you use a cooked entry. The food weighs less for the same calories because the water was lost during the cooking process.
