28 year old new crossfitter looking for motivating friends

Hello,

My name is Ashley and I'm a 28 year old looking for motivating friends. I recently started Crossfit and am working on clean(er) eating. I have been a member for a long time and when I logged back in I noticed a ton of my friends hadn't logged in and there is no "presence" on my time line.

I'm looking to lose about 80 pounds.

You'll love crossfit. Don't cherry pick your workouts, and show up with a positive attitude. You got this!

Get it!! You'll love it. Stay consistent and work hard everyday! the best people to be motivating are the those at the box with you. Introduce yourself there if they haven't introduced themselves.

Thanks guys. I went trough a Bootcamp there first before a couple foundation classes and really enjoy the people there.

Hey! I'm two months into Crossfit and love it. I go 3-4 times a week and run once a week. Earlier advice is right do NOT cherry pick your workouts- the goal is to be comfortable being uncomfortable and seek progress. I'm glad you mentioned the eating. Since I started I've been eating way more than I planned on and cleaning my diet up is not just useful but necessary.

I was pretty inactive in the 4 months before joining Crossfit gym about 4 months ago. There is some baseline level of fitness required, I would think, but it's not as great as you might expect. Really, it all comes down to your coaches. Good coaches will stress form with appropriate weights and will scale workouts to your fitness level.

I've heard really great things about cross fit. Wanting to give it a try just a bit nervous.

The crossfit "box" I go to is great about modifying things for those who need it. For the workout of the day they have a "fitness", "rx", and "competitor" level.
